1st wave...

My "harvest turkey" hatch is underway. 18 out of 40 eggs so far, pulled a couple of duds. They aren't due until tomorrow so I am really happy that it's going so well so early. Big, fat, happy, healthy poults and I only had to finish the zip for a couple of the hybrids that are too big to move. This is my first hatch in the GQF hatcher tray and it's going well. I WILL build a stackable hatcher before next season (and probably put a window in the GQF door, as I cannot deal with not being able to see in there!)

I had to go get him this morning he melted down and bit himself again. When he dose that it means something is bad wrong . His doctor is very good with him. She knows pretty quick what the problem is .Little chit gained 9 pounds since January

I started his meds tonight and they work quick . So he'll be better tomorrow .

Definitely going to need to move the chicks out to the pen--the little chipmunk (going by what could be in the assortment, probably a brown leghorn) was on top of the brooder a little while ago! I've got a towel and a pillow case covering the gaps around the edges of the lid now. Tom managed to catch her--she hopped down to the floor and ran under the chair (at least it wasn't the recliner this time!)

Good morning Sour . Ben is laughing and happy as can be this morning . He's eating Cap'n Crunch . Waiting on his bacon and watching the beaver . You'd never know yesterday he was hurting. Watch out for nekkid beavers there's one floating on the pond

He is on the van headed for the center where all them women will make a fuss over him . I'm off to feed chickens . I have to be ready just in he has another bad morning . But first Ravyn well think about it like ants and a piece candy . I'm think you won't be able to see Ravyn the ducks will cover her up .
