Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I guessed the whole font came up because a friend stopped over today and started telling me I was doing everything wrong..... That is not good to mingle ducks with chickens and I shouldn't have a little plastic pond around the chickens.... Blah blah blah.... And when I told him i did have any problems he looked dumbfounded.

If the ducks and chickens don't mind cohabitating then why should he give a care? Carry on...all sounds good there. I hear the same about running chickens and turkeys together. Ain't never hurt neither of them.

Only negative I could think of is if a duck hatched chicks and tried to get them to swim.

Kahki Campbell aren't supposed to go broody..... But what if one of my AC's hatched a duckling?

I dunno either.... ;)

In fairness he wasn't snotty about it .... More like he was surprised cuz he's learning same as me.... And gets alot of his information on the net

My big ducks were running around the yard today and I caught my drake and my mille bantam cochin rooster about to go at it. Then the little cochin hen tried to jump in too! (she's alot like me! Lol) I had to run the drake and his girls back to their pen. :/

Yeah.... Mine don't seem to pay any attention to one another... If they start having issues I have ways of keeping them separate... And this summer will be putting even more fence up.
