Well made it to the Flea market today and did Ok not great but Ok. Moved out 29 chickens and found out the one of the Tony's is from Egypt not Mexico like I thought . I pull in and they try to buy me out .So today I got there late and parked so they couldn't see me Then after not selling anything for over an hour I let them know I was there .After another hour and all I sold was two roosters I sold out to them and came home and still did better than I would have at the sale barn . Dummy me didn't take eggs and every body wanted eggs Going back next weekend with several young pullets and lots of eggs . I have a little depression going on and really needed a chuckle or too. So thanks girls and guys your just what I needed

I've now begun the transition into that role as well. For now, it's only financial management and advice on maintaining/repairing/replacing things, but it's sadly evolving quickly.

I'm kind of sneaking into that position. My 76-year old mom is taking care of her 102 year old mother (Grandma is in assisted living, but Mom runs her to all her appointments, sets up meds for the week, takes her grocery shopping, etc.) and my step-dad. He has a lot of medical appointments and meds to keep up on, etc. She's wearing herself out. I'm her only child, so I'm her sounding board, and am doing the best I can to make things easier for her. But she's stubborn. If she ever even thinks I'm trying to help, she gets bucky. I'm not sure what she's trying to prove to whom, but it seems she's trying to do everything she did 20 years ago and then some.

No rained all day.... my wife was supposed to wake me up this morning if it wasn't raining so I could go fishing.... must of still been raining..... but its not now. So ill work on the car now till the race comes on....
