:eek::lau

Wait...this is a joke right?

Finished the lawn. Beautiful evening for baseball. It cooled down to around 80 F. Grandson pitched, and leadoff batter hit a triple. :eek: He eventually scored and then for three innings it was 3 or 4 up and 3 or 4 out. Then the opposing pitcher weakened and GS team started hitting. They won 11 to 1. Game # 4 is at 2:15 today. It was added fun because oldest grandson was there along with daughter and SIL. He had never seen this team play and was impressed by their skill. These kids are skilled, and mentally tough. They never panic or compound the occasional error. When the opposing team fell apart, some of the kids got a bit ugly. "Pa, they were swearing at us. Our coach would bench us for that."

So which was it..Beautiful day or 80 degrees? Can't be both.

Glad to hear it! Sounds like some kids need a taste of the soap. I'm glad their coach would bench them if they swore.

Limited experience with pigs here except for giving Skritchies..... I have seen documentarys on their intelligence... But ones with those tusks scare me big time.

deb

The ones with tusks always look angry. I'm with you!

Time to milk and feed, probably take longer than usual today. The goats are no problem, but rounding up the hens may pose some difficulty!!!!! :eek: hahahahaha

:lau Yup, good luck!

It's a crazy day already! I'm not sure what to do here and I'm sorry but this is really gross, I gagged. Poot Ethel looked weird this morning, just sitting and staring when she is usually running around and scratching at everything. I went over and her tail feathers looked dirty so I raised the tail feathers and she had maggots on her butt. I grabbed her and put her in the bath tub then rinsed her for a few minutes, she wasn't happy at all, she is now sitting in warm water that I added salt to and she seems to be enjoying herself. Any idea why this happened and what I need to do? It looked like she has a bloody butt but I'm not sure since I was in a rush to get those nasty things off my poor little girl. She has been sitting in saltwater about 10 mins or so now and I'm headed to rinse and dry her off then check out her wound. Should I clean her with peroxide and use antibiotic cream or do I need to hit the store for something else? UGH I'm not looking forward to checking out her butt!

:confused:

I have no idea what he posted on FB...

I actually don't have a name for him yet.. :oops:
Those Lavs are gorgeous! And yeah, seems that always happens, when beautiful chicks hatch the parents look like chit... hmmm... yep, I remember that when my kids were born! :lau

x again on Friday!! Love's ya, my fave sniper!!

Ah, crud.. guess I won't be either then... nope, Shade won't... no time for it, plus he doesn't know AC's well enough to feel comfortable being in a position... same as me, I don't think I've been breeding them long enough or have learned enough yet to feel confident about it...

:celebrate
:love
Go mamas!!!!

Yeah, we know...

It was so constant I couldn't navigate... :he

Been done, they're aware of the issue and working on it...

Excuse me? Ape's aren't ugly!!!

Oops... that was Shade... :lau :lau

I'm not good with naming, but I think he has earned one :D

:D

Much rather an honest @$$hole who throws chit in my face while I'm looking than one who is sneaky and nice to my face then throws it at my back... ;)

Luckily there are none of those types around here. :lau

@BYC910
She had three live piglets. There were 4 or 5 that didn't make it (some looked like they'd died a while ago :sick) there's one red spotted one with a belt, one white spotted one and a red one.

What you talking about Willis?

:love Wow, he's actually very stunning for what would normally be a cull bird.

I just realized I haven't gathered eggs :thHeavy rain stopped the evening chores . Did the flea market again today . Only sold six five young pullets and one young rooster. And 18 dozen eggs I should have took more eggs . Had to call DW and have her bring me four dozen . My flea market friend Tony sold most of those for me and was trying to sell my chickens . This flea market selling has worked out better than I thought it would. I'm only there three or four hours every time I go. I would spend that much time just boxing chickens for the sale barn and then not be happy sometime with the prices I got. Right now most of the venders with laying hens don't have many eggs and I'm still getting At least three dozen good eggs a day . I'm finding out things too I really need to try and be there every week . Even If I don't have much to sell . Just to keep them seeing me .Out to gather eggs . There is this one rat that is pestering me so I'll shoot at it maybe get it tonight . :fl:frow

:hugs:hugs:hugs You work so hard. I sold 11 birds this weekend, 14 more leaving this week, but broodies keep replacing them. :th

Did you look at the comments?? Surely someone told them how to find the tits, right? :lol:

Can you just imagine all our hens walking around sporting teats? They really would be tripping over them.
