Indeed, and good udders is a bonus! I'm pretty sure Syd and Eclipse ought to have some really nice udders, their moms have real good udders and Ben usually throws decent udders. We actually milked Janet for a bit (till she started bitting) I really would like to get her and Lucy to where we can milk them, Eclipse would be easy to work with to if she has a good udder.

I will. I'll likely talk it over with my sister who'll probably say something like "They'll wean them when they're ready" and brush it off to the side because she knows everything about goats

Better be ready to intervene Dan. The kids need those antibodies and even if you milk it out and save it it's not the same . I have heard of people freezing it for use later but it is an emergency thing like if the doe doesn't have milk. While bottle babies grow they don't grow with the vigor as kids that nurse the nanny and get the colostrum. IMO that is . But you know I know nothing about everything and everything about nothing .I would suggest a weaning haulter but they cause problems . They shouldn't be used close to kidding. it could make the nanny not let the new kid nurse . You do know it's easier to beg forgiveness than to ask permission don't you
