The meanass is the comet that was on 46 eggs at one point. The lavender is the one that has been sitting for six weeks. Her first go round didn't hatch anything so I gave her a few more, figuring she'd give up, but she hasn't. I saw a couple internal pips tonite.

Put a shallow pan of water out there. They will stand in it. Throw a few cubes of ice in it every once in a while.

Great idea! And I just bought some shallow tin pans.

Crap, I just reread that. Did you mean is the chicken a Comet/red sex link, or are the chicks sex links?

I'm on my own tonight, in the camper out in the woods, listening to the coyotes howl and the fireworks going off over Lake St. Helen. Can't see them for the trees, but buy 2 get 5 free seems to be working for the fireworks dealers.

Would say enjoy the peace and quiet but you don't it right now . Out in the woods alone well that sounds so good . All the fireworks dealers around here closed up shop the fifth . haven't heard any since then . Thank goodness they started three days before the forth and it was boom boom for five days .

A long but relaxing day....now I'm watching the race at Kentucky.....hopefully i can fall asleep tonight and finish watching it in the morning. One of my son's friends is coming over tomorrow to go fishing and have dinner.

How long do they turn off the power? A few hours won't hurt. That incubator will maintain for a while, and I just hatched one that didn't have any heat for at least 12 hours. (was around 80 degrees for that time)

I'm wiped out... heck, got 2 boxes of eggs today and haven't even unpacked them yet...

I love crab legs....i just bought 4lbs of Snow crab legs for when my daughter comes home.....mmmmmmmm....cannot wait to dip those babies in melted butter.
