Yeah, they'll do that... especially just maturing little hormonal teenagers... as long as it's not frequent or gets outta hand, it's not a big deal...

I've heard of Silverudds but not familiar with them. Will have to look them up.








She does tend to run with one more often than the others. Luckily he is one of my favs too. Lol although, i just saw him on top of another drake. I was really hoping to avoid 2 call pens.

Right now the only downside to Silverudd's Blues that I have found is that they're small...so the boys I don't keep are not going to be very meaty when it comes time to cull them and I don't have enough pullets to spare to sell a pair.

Yep, i have that with bantam cochins. Either have to give the boys away, or maybe stock for chicken broth. Lol

Yeah, I still haven't convinced him to go yet, but I'm working on it still!

An anniversary trip and then going to my folks house to see the eclipse. Should be fun!

So my plasma cutter arrived last week or so, and we've played with it a bit, but it's going to take some practice. I've been looking at ... what else... Chicken silhouettes to practice with.

Like adapting something like this to look more like chickens. ideas anyone??

We went to the fair. The poultry section was a bit lacking. I'd like to be able to get my daughters to enter some birds in a couple years when they are old enough. I love watching the teams of the big draft horses.
