Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Haha! Well, what else were we supposed to make with clay?? I remember bringing in used wine bottles to make vases...pretty sure that wouldn't go over well either! :)
Hey remember in elementary school..... Making your parents ashtrays in art class..... Bet they don't do that anymore.....:lau

I'm watching wheel of fortune with DW this evening and the puzzle was Beavers and Retrievers and I busted out :lau she wanted to know what was so funny . I just thought that If I was a dog that would be the kind of dog I would be . A beaver retriever it just made sense to me .

:lau :lau Makes complete sense.

I'm watching season 2 of Fargo......I speak the language........ Eh?

:thumbsup

Good morning Pondies!

Rav, K or Natalie, will you please pass along my congrats to Turk?

Saturday! Decision time...
Choice 1: take the rooster culls to the local small animal swap meet this morning (it's really more of an Asain market) to sell for about $6-8 each
Choice 2: do a little processing (we have been spoiled in all our previous butcher experiences, using our friends' "equipment" for this. Last night DH says, "I think you should do some the old fashioned way, to see what it's like." )
But, it's definitely time for about 6-7 to go.

Good morning!
Can you buy a chicken /rooster for dinner with less then 6-8$?
If not the second option is the better one!

Good question... I haven't bought chicken in the grocery store for a long time and I don't think I can compare the quality of the meat (I'm definitely biased toward my chickens and their flavor - and knowing their quality of life is so good compared with the factory birds)
But, I think I am debating the time and energy. And I still have enough birds in the freezer to last until the next crop gets bigger - although I have a Bielefelder in the cull group and I'd really like to see if the meat is all that it's advertised to be...
I think, if the DH will help me, maybe I might do some processing (wow, that was a long "think out loud" comment!)

I didn't enter to the quality issue because I KNOW that your birds are 100 time more healthier and tastier than that "soaps " they sell in the grocery, so if you consider the quality AND the price, there is no question, isn't it?
