Now Im worried about feeding worms to my chickens...

If they eat worms...earthworms...found in my yard...will it cause them to get some type of chicken worm?

Just worm them if they do... a few worms won't hurt them and worms are everywhere... what causes an issue is an overload of worms, not just having some...

I believe they are born with a balanced parasitic load or maybe that's bacteria I'm thinking about.

Heartworms are not spread like regular intestinal worms, but are spread by mosquitoes. They infect both cats and dogs and can cause death. Over ¾ of fecal exams do not find parasites present in feces. Because puppies & kittens are born with worms, they should be dewormed regularly.

That's from the mother being infested... and why a regular worming schedule should always be maintained whether you see worms or not... chicken embryos don't develop inside the mother... different process, so different results...

Many (not all) female dogs have encysted roundworm larvae that are activated by maternal hormones thereby infecting pups. I am not certain if any other worms are passed in utero. My dogs are routinely wormed with Ivermectin. I have not had roundworms or for that matter ANY worms in any pups over the past 25 years. Good husbandry leads to good results. I seriously doubt that 75% failure rate on fecal results.
