ManAs a parent, relinquishing control was the most difficult thing for me to do. 26 years ago our daughter announced that she was moving to Georgia to live with a boy that she had been dating. For a variety of reasons, I was strongly opposed to this move. He WAS NOT the one I would have picked for her. Long story short - they have been married 24 years, really like/love one another and so far have raised 3 great kids - still not sure about # 3. I guess all that we can do is give them a solid base to work from, allow them to make their mistakes and pick them up if necessary.
There is also a strong possibility that prayer helps.
