Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

As a parent, relinquishing control was the most difficult thing for me to do. 26 years ago our daughter announced that she was moving to Georgia to live with a boy that she had been dating. For a variety of reasons, I was strongly opposed to this move. He WAS NOT the one I would have picked for her. Long story short - they have been married 24 years, really like/love one another and so far have raised 3 great kids - still not sure about # 3 . I guess all that we can do is give them a solid base to work from, allow them to make their mistakes and pick them up if necessary. There is also a strong possibility that prayer helps.
Man :hugs

Trust in the Lord with all your heart. . . . ... Lean not on your own understanding!

:frow Good morning, Amy, nice to meet you! I'm more of a lurker than regular poster. I read and try to stay caught up every day, but don't always comment. Praying you and yours stay safe with the fires and that they are put out quickly.

You still talk more than I usually do ;)

We should be fine (except for air quality--I seem to be the most sensitive one in the house). I don't know about any of the other fires, but the Chetco Bar fire is predicted to be contained by midOctober:hmm

Well hello Amy! I remember your screen name from my days as a lurker! Glad your still with us! :)

:thumbsup

Hi Amy I had just met you when you went on your trip.... :frow

I do other things besides what I have posted here so far. Am in the process of learning and right now am fascinated by weaving. And the latest stone. I have one more large stone to do and then I will be on to smaller... Not a fan of the large ones for wearing myself but some people are.

Wow you are on the fringe of a ring of fire.... scary stuf that. stay safe... we got about six hours of tropical rain yesterday 90 degrees while we got wet down some.

I doubt if it was slated to head your way.... I hope some does to knock those fires down

Cant wait to see pix

We're definitely hoping for an early rainy season--it usually doesn't start until around Halloween (and if it doesn't start after Halloween, it will be raining on Halloween night itself

The pics are at https://www.flickr.com/photos/amy_paperlady/collections/72157684860571873/ There are 2 and a half weeks' worth, and there are also pics by friends of mine from whom I've gotten permission to use them :thumbsup
