Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Mondays should be illegal... :hugs
That's what I think to :thI've been wet since Monday afternoon . broke the customers water line couldn't shut off the water . Trying to quick dig a ditch to keep from flooding the house and broke my machine :barniewhen I got the leak stopped it was raining and dark and when I got in the truck to leave . Turned on the wipers and both blade edges peeled off . 10 getting home . Last Monday got home off the road at 10:30 Busted a belt in tire in Memphis no place to get one 3 hour drive turned into more than six . Two hundred miles at 40 to 45 mph two lane roads . white knuckle driving :th

Sweet Sussex passed away last night in DDs arms. :(
Did a bit of a necropsy, but it was inconclusive -I really expected to find a screw, airsoft bbs or some blockage. Instead there was about 2 full cups of small rocks with a few blades of grass and hay mixed in. I wish I knew how it happened. Ah well, it is what it is. It's been a rough summer on the birds, so the promise of a cool down next week makes me hopeful that these kinds of things will slow down.

No its not... I am almost 400 lbs though and I was discussing this with my son... I figure I got about twenty more years to futz around my property Build things play with my horse raise chickens goats dogs what ever... I dont want to spend it waiting to be driven places or wishing for the weight to "Poof" and go away.

I have done my research talked to people who have had it... watched the technology change over the years from The Radical Gastric Y bypass to the Lap Band... The radical versions leave you with out a portion of your small intestine... Which is where you digest fat soluble Vitamins... Leaving you on the border of malnutrition if you aren't careful and in some cases tied to a trip to the doctor for vitamin injections.

That Y surgery I wont do... and I cringe at some device left in my body that has to be pumped up with Saline periodically... even if its removable. But there is a recent development called a Gastric sleeve which removes a portion of your stomach leaving your digestive processes in tact.

Up till now I have been considering going to Mexico for the surgery... less than half the price, and they send a limo to pick you up take you to the hospital and bring you home. Same doctors believe it or not too.

No this is not something to do without due dilligence and research.

And we're always here for ya too...

Last summer I didn't lose a single bird. This summer, I've kind of lost track... Things are bound to change though - right?? :)

Exactly! :hugs
At some point the only direction you can go is up, lol...
Seriously, though, once you ramp up for breeding/production and you hatch/raise larger numbers, more chances of issues arising/accidents/injuries/etc... it is part of the bumps in the roads... but eventually it smooths out and you find your rhythm... hang in there... :)
