I finally went thru the emergency stuff today. There was no duck, quail, or guinea pig food in it, which means it hasn't been updated WAY longer than I thought. Theres no evac containers for the quail or the turtle & absolutely nothing for the humans, so we'd better hope we never have an emergency while wearing only skivvies.

Interesting thing is that the dog food, bunny food & turtle food all looked & felt perfectly normal, but chicken food was completely bad. It must be the heat creating condensation, but in theory that should've rotted the other food too. I'm just glad I finally checked it!

Yea that's my problem with stocking up stuff. So much goes bad. But congrats on going thru it!

Oh, and Dudley is honored to be part of your fudge. He'll happily eat a few pieces too.

Thanks! I hope we'll NEVER need it, but will have all food refilled, plus turtle bucket replaced before bed. I'll put it under the house this time & that should keep it a little cooler. Also, Siri set up a reminder for me to replace it again 10/1/18 because I clearly cant be trusted to remember on my own.

thats why its best to rotate it in.... same as rotating cans...
