They are smaller than my smallest call ducks!

Thanks. I really do appreciate the support. I can't stop thinking about them, but I will eventually get over it. I guess.

You'll get passed it eventually..And then you'll be ready to take what you've learned and try again..

WV hope old were these ducks and how long did their last owner have them?
They are wild ducks with a strong urge to do what wild ducks do...... People up here will let their Mallards migrate...... They come back.
I have a feeling this ducks will end up back where they started from eventually.
Other than that I'm sorry for your sadness.... But I think the ducks will be fine......

She lives about 100 road miles from me, maybe 70 thru the air? Would be interesting if they went home. I have to hope they will be ok too.

Crazy how their instincts just take over. Wow. WV, I can't believe how quickly they learned the "lay of the land" and just went all "prison break" on you! It really has nothing to do with fault... there's no way you could have known how savvy they were. I hate the "coulda, woulda, shoulda's" because they always make me feel like "farmer loser" - when in reality, when I don't know something, I just don't know it. The only thing I can fix is the "next time". So chin up, my friend. You are one of the best when it comes to the care of your critters. Don't let those ducks makes you think otherwise.

Ducks are a hardy bird.. And these have wild instincts... I'm betting they be just fine....

Chris, I'm guessing Thanksgiving is a non-holiday in both your countries.

if Nothing we have pumpkin pie.... My next favorite is apple. Then Cherry, apricot.... and finally Pecan.

I have made Pecan and Pumpkin and apple... at least but its either a frozen pie or from Sprouts...

I just got done making a ginormous pot of cranberry sauce flavored with Meyer Lemon... the house smells awesome.
