My evil golden comet it next, due any time now. As of yesterday evening, none had hatched, so we'll see this evening. When I pulled the 46 eggs that she was sitting on, and left her with 20, I could have totally screwed up the "due date", so I won't be concerned if none hatch even by early next week.

But my lavender orpington is definitely due next Monday.

Yea, this is one of those evil broodies that you read about. I wasn't about to try to see what was under her, and all the other girls just kept contributing! Luckily, I caught her off the nest one day last week, so I got to pull some, candle and give her a few back (laid them about a foot away and she pulled them in! lol).

At last count, she was on 20 (I marked those), but a few more could have been added since last week. I'll just toss whatever doesn't hatch, so I didn't risk trying to get a new count.

I watched the little silkie mix chick peck her right in the eyeball! Twice. I actually nudged the chick backwards. Katherine didn't even blink... literally!
