Guess what I just saw in my back property? A mother deer and two babies by her side! They went trotting across the back! They were probably 30 yards from me

On a down side my Easter Egger Hawk that had all the crop problems has bumble foot so bad ! I don't think I can save her...she's just not a healthy girl....her crop problems are constant and she's had nothing but loose stools for probably a year..so she probably has an obstruction too. All of that crop treatment didn't do a thing for it either. It could be a tumor too. It's sad, I'm going to have to say goodbye to her soon and I'm attached to her. She's a sweetheart and a beautiful EE. She strongly resembles a silver Ameraucana, but she's prettier.

as long as you're on here with us, it's all good.

my chicks just figured it out by them selves the other day.....I freaked out at first.
One of them was on its back rubbing around in the dust bath area....I thought something was wrong with it till I realized what she was doing.

Yep, toe nail... dunno if it will grow back, looks like she lost it down to the core, but it will heal... she's already doing fine, but Walnut will understand the holding up the foot while making pathetic noises bit, lol...

Ducks are awesome, really... especially the little ones...
She has always liked people, and they imprint early... I can always handle mine without issues, just some are more affectionate than others while some are more like ok, lets get this over with...

She was literally following me around like a puppy... got a box for her and set it up next to me last night since she insisted on being near me... she climbed out, walked over to my lap, got on it and crawled up to my chest and made herself comfortable with her bill 4 inches from my face...

LOL once I "got it" I had to laugh while on a conference call.  Yup it sure does!
