Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Ok, a bunch of junk still laying around to be cleaned up, but I did get a few pics of the new addition yesterday. Have some paint work to do now... Ugh.

The boards and stuff laying around the edge is temporary until hubby digs the hole for the boat, then we'll have dirt to pile up on the wire that is folded out on the ground.

Gap in the center (down the left side) goes to the back door of the building, but can also be fenced off for a broody area.

Me too....just wish i could get the cobwebs out of my head.

Awesome!
i was looking at a junk sail boat for my boys yesterday lol

Thanks. Ya know, I should have known that! Common around here. But that's a little one then. Parents must be around somewhere. The ones you traded for, or yours? A few of my young OEGBs have just recently started roosting on the rafters of the run. At least they are inside. I can't reach them to get them down.
New ones... my girls aren't happy about them and they're smaller, so have to keep them separated for a while...
After reading more, I'm glad I killed that snake. Need to find the parents and rest of its family though. They are constrictors, and while they eat mice and moles, they also raid birds nests of eggs and eat small animals like birds, squirrels and rabbits. Hopefully they stick to the squirrels, mice, moles and rabbits around my place, but I'd just as soon not risk my small chicks, nor my eggs.
Yep, you have way too many tiny birds to risk with those... good call...
I'm sure you are fine. Although..... 11 has been cursed number for my hubby and I. Both of us were married the first time for 11 years. We are now in year 11 married to each other, so we are both hoping this year passes quickly, with no problems. I think I'll wait until after our 12th anniversary before building another chicken coop with him. :gig
I think you're good... he got his boat and you got your coops and boat pool... ;)
:thumbsup Looks like they had fun, though the one would rather not hold the fish, lol...

So the turkeys survived the night on the Am coop? That one turkey of mine used to roost on top of the door to the pen. Had to grab her down every night, pass her through the gate, and she'd make her way inside the coop. Not fun getting whacked in the cheek with a turkey wing in the dark!

Guess we'll build you one when we come and get the ducks!
