Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Hello pond folk. Hope everyone had a great weekend. I'm so glad for an extra day off work. This weekend flew by!
Those long weekends sure are nice, aren't they?

- what kind(s) of ducks are you hatching?

I hope all of you that get an extra day off enjoy the heck out of it.
I'm gonna try and get more done tomorrow.
Trying to get a fishing trip planned for mid week.

Not really an "extra" day off for me since I have not yet found a job here in our new location (two weeks here and no job yet, such a slacker, lol) - but intend to make the most of it anyway. Hopefully we are going to drive over to the coast for the day - haven't been yet since we arrived here in Oregon and it's been killing me because I love the ocean/coast and to be this close and not go is torture.
Hopefully you find some time to rest and relax among all your working tomorrow.
Hope to see some pips soon.
Humidity is good......

Yea but everybody already knows who we are!

Was having a great weekend until my trustworthy border collie proved to be untrustworthy. She ripped the feathers off the back of a little crippled hen we have and tore the skin on the back of her neck.
Oh, no, so sorry to hear that.

My daughter's visiting and she's an ICU nurse.

. Between her, Mrs. Oz and the Chicken Health book by Damerow we have I had plenty of info.
Sounds like she is in very good hands.

Oh, I'm jealous!!! I soooo miss the Pacific coast!!!

Please go and enjoy!!

I blame myself for not being vigilant. The dog has been so protective over the chickens for so long I didn't worry about it. And I was nearby when she did it!

Don't blame yourself. Some dogs are unpredictable. DH seen my cat "playfully" attack a small pullet the other day. She is an outside cat, but sleeps inside so we can avoid her getting ate by predators. I wouldn't be so worried, but when she, playfully attacks the dog, she sometimes gets really mean. (Dog is a Maltese Yorkie-Poodle mix). She frequently brings us mice, moles and wild birds she has killed. I know, that is her job, but she needs to know, chickens, are friends, no food! (For her). I've got my radar on. FREE CAT TO A GOOD HOME WITH NO CHICKENS OR BIRDS OF ANY KIND:D

Good morning twerps - sorry, I meant "perps"
