Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

That is awesome news - does the fact that you "woke up" mean you finally got some good rest?

Your mom said so, right?

what do they call you?  I'd just look at it as it means you are special to them -- I know we had aunts, uncles, grandparents that all got the formal title, but we also had a special aunt and my great grandparents that we never called by those titles, they had special nicknames and were/are the ones we were most bonded to.

No rest for the wicked ;)   Hope you are able to get your baler fixed!

Oh, how fun and exciting!

They call me Dan.

have fun!! i love fair season!
Judging was interesting. Glad it was a small fair! We took 2 hours to go through everything. She put comments on everyone's cards, which I like a lot. She really agonized over the Grand Prize winner in the Jr. cut flower category as there were 3 that she really liked. It is nice to see someone take her volunteer responsibility seriously.

Now I have to go catch 3 cockerels. Hopefully deliver one to a new home and take the other two to a different fair!

Some days I think that but I get bored if I don't have things to do. I hate to house clean so I try to find other ways to occupy my time!

Well I have 4 less chickens now. Culled the RO cockerel that had bad type, my EE mix that laid eggs that looked just like my RO eggs (I like my eggs to be color coded), Tweaker, my Wheaten Ameraucana with a very twisted spine, and another RO hen that was just a snot and built like a linebacker.

So now I'm down to 13 and my agreement with DH is to overwinter 12. Probably close enough, but I'm still thinking about culling my Legbar that is a feather picker. But then I think of having some crested blue egg layers by putting her with my Blue Wheaten Ameraucana cockerel in the spring. Decisions, decisions.

But like PF said, anything is better than housework.

Productive afternoons! :thumbsup

I saw that there's a swap at my Rural King on Saturday, so I think I'll take my extra cockerels there and see if I can get rid of them.
