Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I just hope she actually opens the hood to see it!

Howdy, all. I am back at home, back at work, getting back in the groove. Being away from the farm for six weeks left things in quite a turmoil. I am more than a hundred pages behind so rather than trying to catch up, I'll just drop in as I can and kind of get back into the mix. My chickens grew up while I was away. I am now getting near-gray eggs, small pointy whites, BCM coffee brown, blues and greens, and plenty of browns. All the loud roosters are gone, and the Sulmtaler rooster is king of the coop but the Ayam Cemani is the back door man. The Spitzhauben roosters get beat up by the production red hens so I don't think they are getting much action in there. And the Naked Necks still "just ain't right" in my eyes. A few pics: The turkeys are doing great. I have one young tom over 30 pounds and several in the 20+ range. I have 46 in all and will keep six hens and two toms for next season, and OG and Sonny are the boys making the cut. Three of the four old hens will stay on, and will be joined by three of the younger ones. Two of the young hens are 15 pound Narragansetts from Sonny and the other is one of the whites that came out of one of OG's gals. :yesss: Now to sell the rest... And we adopted one of my parents' dogs as five were too many for my mom. Frankie is six years old, his mom is a mini Pinscher and Corgi mix (looks like a mini pin with a body like a tank and short legs) and his dad was an Australian Cattle Dog. He's camo colored and very affectionate. He was in a highly competitive situation and now has just Mosey and us to deal with. And he's on an exercise program to trim him down.
Welcome back. Missed ya. Birds are gorgeous! :hugs
Morning Pondies! Woke up to three AM chicks!
Awesome! :ya

Mistakes are forgivable. I rarely make mistakes - I'm just generally daft. Just now i went outside and forgot to put my "chicken" shoes on. Came back, and put my chicken shoes on (before entering the house) and proceeded to drag a trail of chicken chit into the kitchen :p  Think i need to go to bed and start the day again

:gig :lau  :gig

Yup... I gotta downsize them anyways... time to pare down to the best...

Pick me, pick me!! LOL

This is my only one and has turned out to be be a bit of a lemon. Cant afford to fly any more birds from the coast, so I'm kinda stuck with this little runt. The only blessing is that she's so tiny she costs me almost nothing to keep. Seems like my blue egg project has gone down the swanny :/

That stinks, but chin up maybe she'll hatch out some egg laying machines!

Just had to shoot one of my Possoms :hit Now I got to crawl under the house and get it :sick  :frow
that stinks sorry :hugs

Well tonight is the first night that Hyde has spent the night in the big coop with the other ducks. She spent all day in the run with them with no problems so hopefully there won't be any overnight.
great news!
