my 5 year olds are white as snow? they eat lots of corn too. I don't understand it. Had my white chickens turn yellow from corn.

It's not all Pekins, but been seeing many posts this last year about yellowing... maybe it's in the line? Hatchery source might have an issue? Never compared to see if they all originated from same source...

Have they just molted ?  In my experience the new feathers come in with a yellowish tinge (extra oil ?) but eventually turn white.

I'd guess same as mini... water, corn, maybe excessive oil from their gland???

Not sure, but I think I have heard of many saying their Pekins turned yellow as they got older...

Don't know about Pekins but had a poultry judge tell me that white will turn yellow with a lot of sun exposure. As to why my male Phoenix had yellow feathering instead of stark white. I would think that would apply to any/all feathers.

Dan - no help from me, but I did notice my mostly-white Swedish boy looks yellow-er in the summer than he does now.
