That was my thinking with this boy, but I tell ya, those hens were brutal!! I let it go on for a bit while he ran/flew away from them. But then they got him cornered and were hammering him, so I stepped in. I seriously thought he was dead. Not moving, crooked neck, head thru a hole in the chicken wire. I was shocked when I picked him up and felt him breathing.
Oz, I added the other youngsters with momma Clara, and she protected them. But most times I guess you just have to try and let them sort it out.
