I know. I actually prefer them to be a little skittish, makes it easier to put them where I want them.

The other day when we had all that rain, and my momma duck rooted under the fence, I easily herded her back to the gate. Till she got behind it. The she panicked a little, but she almost let me touch her to herd her around the gate to the opening. But she's 2 years old and its been a long time since I've held her.
Still fun as heck to watch and talk to. They yak their heads off to me, as long as I'm on the other side of the fence!

I have shown nothing but kindness and food to my ducks and how do they repay me? By running away.

My John Wayne (dark blue AM) has been trying to charge me lately, I literally hand raised him! Like I want his hens, lol, their already mine!

The twins are still alive. Since the egg was 100% dark, I opened where the air cell was supposed to be and wiped neosporin on the exposed membrane. Right on top is a yolk sac, indicating an upside down poult. I will wait until the yolk sac is more absorbed and go in after them. The other appears to have its beak near the membrane but not in normal hatching position.

Have you ever read of twin poults hatching? Chicks are happening more often, and even ducks a little more, but I don't think I've seen anything on twin poults! C'mon babies!!
