I dropped off the machine and ended up trying to get a Craftsman tractor and a Bolens mower started that had been sitting 15+ years.  Fetched gasoline, but neither of those would start without work so I cut 10" high city lawn with my Grandma's old Scotts reel mower    Did the trick and I got my exercise.  The rain kept me cool.

Sounds like a lot of work!

Really windy today, so we went for a drive to walk around some mission ruins from the 1600's.  Sky was a brilliant blue, but the wind was cold from the snow yesterday. We almost had the place to ourselves.

AmyPaperLady - she gets around. Upcoming trip to UK. Keeps busy with family, kids, birds. Oh, she also somehow finds time (or used to) to make fudge & stuff.

I've done more traveling the last couple of years (went to Yellowstone last year, from the very northern California coast) than I have in, well, ever! And I've the most beautiful 8- and13-year-old daughters on the Pond

Fudge season is starting again soon--this Friday is the Spring Craft Show at the fairgrounds, and Farmer's Market starts the first Saturday of June. I'm going to have to remember to make extra fudge to cover the 3 Saturdays that I'm seeing if I pick up accents when I'm surrounded by people with not-my-accent

I was going to mention my "Can't-have calls" rants, but I think those were all in previous threads, before I found out where everyone had disappeared to! The "Can't-have-calls" rants pretty much stopped when it was decided that we would move to Tennessee in the next couple of years. I foresee being inundated with them quickly, after that

I really don't know the regulars there bought me out . The little Asian girl said they had got from me before and I had good chickens

I'll ask them next Sunday My nephew and his wife are expecting and the gathering is next Saturday . What some folks call a baby shower I call a gathering

all them women go and gather up stuff for the new baby .

And they are really serious about it Big party at his parents house in Leipers fork . I'll be there all day . And so will this one .34 days old already
