Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Hopefully they will catch more, they set 7 traps.. Fingers crossed..

Cute pics. You look like my daughter-in-law

Good morning pond peeps, it's been a busy few days and I'm feeling comical this morning so here's the past few days..My life through pictures

Thursday afternoon Jb went to the vet with a dislocated leg, infected foot and lice, fixed leg, got a shot for lice and antibiotics..she's on the mend

Friday morning off to the vet again with Huey, bumble foot was completely gone thanks to Ravyn, got treatment for lice and sent home

Friday afternoon was spent visiting with my Peepaw, my hero and my best friend, he has stage 4 pancreatic cancer, we were told he would live for 6 weeks and here we are 6 months later. No treatment, just will power and prayer.

Saturday I enjoyed sometime in the sun and then spent time with Hope aka Bo
And Sunday I played with the new babies and took some amazing pictures of them

After that TWRA came out to check the traps and we had 3 really big and extremely ticked off snapping turtles who got relocated to the river

And ended the day with some fishing with my husband, I caught a MASSIVE FISH, almost broke my arm reeling him in

We tipped the scales

Only I can manage to hook a minnow
It did get better because after that I managed to catch this guy

What a weekend!!

I love your photojournal!

I lost my Dad to stage 4 pancreatic cancer last September. I miss him so much.

What a weekend!!

Sure sounds like an great and sometimes interesting weekend. Nice catch on the bass!

Sounds like a lot of work!

Really windy today, so we went for a drive to walk around some mission ruins from the 1600's. Sky was a brilliant blue, but the wind was cold from the snow yesterday. We almost had the place to ourselves.

Gorgeous! Your area has the best blue skies I've ever seen.

The ironic thing is, I'm pretty much a homebody (except for the housework part

I've done more traveling the last couple of years (went to Yellowstone last year, from the very northern California coast) than I have in, well, ever! And I've the most beautiful 8- and13-year-old daughters on the Pond

Fudge season is starting again soon--this Friday is the Spring Craft Show at the fairgrounds, and Farmer's Market starts the first Saturday of June. I'm going to have to remember to make extra fudge to cover the 3 Saturdays that I'm seeing if I pick up accents when I'm surrounded by people with not-my-accent

I was going to mention my "Can't-have calls" rants, but I think those were all in previous threads, before I found out where everyone had disappeared to! The "Can't-have-calls" rants pretty much stopped when it was decided that we would move to Tennessee in the next couple of years. I foresee being inundated with them quickly, after that

I also don't talk much, except when I do

I remember the Yellowstone trip. LOL...I used to rant about "can't have calls", too. Then I started really paying attention to everything I hear outside. The neighbors rooster, donkies & peacock. Think a few calls will be fine at my place now.

Missing duck found...

Thank goodness!!

Great pics Lucy, glad those snapping turtles didn't get relocated to the pond!
X3!

Hopefully they will catch more, they set 7 traps.. Fingers crossed..
Great pics! The black & white one is my fave. Looks like you had a nice weekend.

Did you have a nice birthday dinner?

Good morning pondies! All sorts of flooding in my neck of the woods. I have one route left to get to/from work. Hope it doesn't flood, too.

One of my little girls has definitely found her quack!
big_smile.png
But its not an annoying quack like I thought it might be. She sounds like a toy! Well, she looks like a toy too, so I guess that makes sense..lol. But yes, listening to the sounds of everything around, I can't imagine a few quackers are going much problem.
My big rooster Bailey though? Well, he's beginning to be a different story.

Amazing how much water you guys got. Hope you make it home without your car becoming a boat! (maybe you should have just stayed home.. lol)
