Here too. It's easy to get fooled since we'll have a week or two in the 70s or 80s, then boom-get hit with a short cold snap. Then it goes back to warn weather like nothing happened, except all the buds and tender plants are dead. My poor grape looks horrible. Growing fruit is also pretty unpredictable here

my plum tree has buds and is starting to get flowers

i hope they survive!! and can self pollinate, i lost the other tree and only have the one
maybe my peach or apple will pollinate it

Years ago we got 17 inches of snow on the 21 of May.... It had been in the 80's days before and was in the 70's right after. My brother had rode his motorcycle up from Detroit and couldn't go home. He ended up staying and never moved back.

I'm gambling on planting the garden this week, although late frosts happen almost every year. Will probably keep some transplants in the house just in case.

Always keep some back just in case.

I can't plant any sensitive plants till 10 June..... Every year I get real tempted though.... Sometimes I do and sometimes I pay for it.

Yeah fruit is tricky here too..... Some years is a total loss

Planted mine last weekend, 85 degrees and sunny. Now we're in the 50's-60's this week.

Not sure how cold overnights are going to be, but hopefully no more 30's....

My Dang lungs have been killing me lately..... Last few days. Upped my prednisone. Not complaining too much. This last winter was my best in a couple years. But I'm getting on top of it before it goes south.
