Good morning pond peeps, I no joke almost died yesterday and I am so glad I am still here. Had a procedure done and filled out all the proper paperwork regarding allergies, health issues etc.. Well apparently it's a read if you want type of thing because they DID NOT read anything about me and my diabetes and almost overdosed me with novacaine. Which hit after I drove myself home from the procedure. I kind of felt like maybe I was driving drunk but chalked it up to the trauma on my mouth that just took place. I got home and crashed and woke up to paramedics, a frantic husband and a really swollen mouth

They gave me a shot to kind of speed things up (like my heart rate) and get my glucose levels normal. Moral of the story, make sure your doctor actually READS that stuff

That was scary... I'm not going to be that person who beats all I have, only to go out from novicane.. geeeez!

I hope some gives that doctor a good

Had my husband not of felt so guilty for missing my appointment and making me go alone I would have just crashed into a coma. Thank God he got here and tried to wake me up.

I'm ok this morning, mouth hurts so bad from all the shots, the novicane wasn't working because diabetic people metabolize medicine differently, so the first round of shots didn't pass the "cold test" so this moron just gives 3 more rounds and jokes, well you won't​ feel your mouth for hours...yeah, it was a 2,000 dollar mistake that I won't let go...

and they gave you glucagon from the sounds of it, just know that the glucagon can make you nauseous too

Yep , I never knew that either until yesterday about the novicane. I'm also allergic to latex which he used and caused all kinds of swelling, this is why I don't go to the dentist... Unfortunately bubble wrap, chocolate eggs and Paracord could not save me ...I was really wishing to be on the island stuck verses that!! BTW, great job on the gift. You left me baffled for a minute and then it all clicked... I was laughing for hours after that!! I kept thinking, why did she tie bows on bubble wrap?? DUH!!! By far the most thought through gift ever!

Actually, they are for DW. She's going to a funeral tomorrow (and things can take a while in this neck of the woods). One of her BF's hubby killed himself on Sunday. Rat poison and red wine - what a way to go! I bet it sure didnae tickle

There's gotta be better ways for sure! DW said he was face down, covered in mud (he was in the garden) - I did mention that was gonna be writhing in pain for quite a while before he popped his clogs

I honestly don't have much sympathy for suicide.
