If I'm fishing with bait..... Live it dead.....I use a steel leader.....I make my own.
Usually a black leader about 3 feet long..... Because when you Pike fish with bait the incentive is to get the first to swallow the bait.
I don't fish this way much because you will kill the Pike and I don't fish Pike for food.... Just fun.
