I agree that it's stupid. They obviously must have a storm shelter at the hotel so maybe all is well there. I don't know what kind of shape the work truck will be in afterwards.

Maybe they need something like the car I saw once. Pontoons all around. Don't remember the propulsion system.

Just saw another version. Outwardly, looks like a regular compact convertible, but has one or two props in the back.
"Boat" motor in the trunk. Can't see what the flotation is.
