Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I hit the back button right after hitting 'Insert quotes'... before it had a chance to save in the reply box, I do it a lot... :oops:

:love Willow!!!!

Ummm... :oops:

Wickett, Willow, Cocoa Pop... all LG daughters... all started laying at 6 months... at 7 months old, they were ALL sitting tight... need I say more? :lau
My girl that started laying didn't seem to care about her eggs. That's alright though I didn't want babies now anyway. She laid five. I brought them in and put in fridge. . . .
I don't think I can eat them though. Lol
Thought I could but every time I see them in there it kinda makes my tummy sick thinking of it. Guess I'll just throw them away.

Some don't brood, and some wait til they're older... it's connected to lines from what I have seen... LG has super strong broody instincts, she started laying at 5 months, sitting at 7 months and is currently on her 3rd or 4th clutch of the year... :th
And she passes it on to most of her daughters/granddaughters, etc...

ETA: I feel same about the eggs... see if you can give them away?

I really am!!! Hubs likes it tho. Make for a cheap date! :lau
Ttyl...Nap time!:frow

Rest well, feel better! :hugs

Okay, these Easter Eggers have got to go. Either somebody comes and picks them up this week or I'm going to cull them.

They viciously attacked one of my peachicks. I had felt bad for them being in a small cage waiting to get sold so I put them in the coop with the growout chicks and the pea chicks. They attacked my purple boy that didn't sell yesterday. Tore his head up. Poor thing is a bloody mess. I've got him cleaned up and I hope he'll recover. But those easter eggers are gone or dead this week.

My mom flies in from OR tomorrow. :barnie You cant even walk into the brooder ... er... guest bedroom. I don't even have a mattress in there. :he I guess I better go, but I'm stalling. DM is one of those mean, angry old people with zero sense of humor... God help me!!! Please send Xanax (or a hitman) to me at;
