I think they can see more in the full moon. Also, sometimes they hear something, then someone crows, then someone hears that one and crows until you have this unending chain reaction that began with a single noise.

I'm saying it's probably some from me doing it, or they learned from mine... most of my boys crow all night long...

I don't think that's it. One is a Mut from the March hatch. And they've never done this before that I can remember.

I have even noticed, now that I have a bunch of them in breeding pens closer to the house, that if I get up to use the bathroom and turn a light on that they start to crow. I've started just using my phone screen for illumination- and I say to myself, "I can't believe I am allowing these birds to make me sneak around my own house like a cat burglar! "

Probably learned from mine then... seriously, mine do crow all night long... our first one ever, Cheeky, crowed at 10, midnight, 2, 4 and 6 every single night...

Since him, it was our old gamebird breeder friend down the road whose birds would have crow challenges all night long with mine... now it is habit...
