Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Yes, I have...

Not me my truck got the window up just in time . The ride the rest of the way was not fun . and washing it off wasn't either .:sick:sick:sick:sick:sick:sick:sick

Me too - several times as a kid while trapping, and once as an adult while drunk. "Hold my beer and watch this."

I've only driven through fresh road killed skunk and that chit burned my eyes & I felt like the smell was stuck in my nose for hours afterward. I can't imagine actually getting sprayed. I'm quite sure the smell would have me throwing up. :sick:sick:sick

Ya'll enjoy the rest of your night. I'm off to bed.

:clap

 Get outta here! Did she really post that?? :lau

Aww, now what'd ya do that for!?? :plbb Ya should've left it.

Yep, he's a keeper!! :love

I hope there are enough Pondies on so we can play a little guessing game.

This was the first night I had to immediately put ducks to bed when I got home because it was already dark. What's the last thing you wanna encounter lurking around the coop?
Yep she sure nuf did!:lau:lau:lau

Just out of curiosity, why are you putting the nests on the floor, rather than 3-4 feet up, where you can collect eggs w/o standing on your head?
What pyxis said :D

Because ducks lay on the ground :p I would love it if I could convince mine to use raised nesting boxes, but I don't see that happening, lol.
Mine already do enough trying to commit suicide jumping off off stuff and not flapping their wings! *Thud* oh look. . I'm limping. .wonder why.:hmm

We caught one in a dog-proof trap a few months ago at camp. It was still alive when i arrived. Only had pistols with me, and didn't want to get that close. Called the neighbor to bring me a rifle. Her husband wasn't home, so she came with a .22 and I had to shoot the thing. Yep, it sprayed before i got it dead. :sick

We have some that run around the house too, my neighbor saw a whole family of them one day. Bunch of little ones! I hate to wake up in the morning and smell that smell! Ugh.

I told hubby to toss the trap that one got caught in, but i think he soaked it in something and finally got the smell off it.
