Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Finches take a while to begin to lay eggs... Would Quail eggs do? I remember my button quail layed a bizillian eggs in my aviaries at about two or three months.

The OP said his button quail eggs were still too large for the tiny snake

Not a big fan here...something about growing up in the Sierras where the timber rattlers were gigantic may have informed my predisposition to steer clear. :)
We dont have timber rattlers but we have

I have seen em as big around as your forearm and six feet long...

I have seen all but the sidewinder... from horseback.

Does your aldis have Clancy potato chips? We like them better than lays. And WAY cheaper.
I'm not sure.... But next time I'm there I'll look.
I did by a rack of lamb from there..... It looks good.
We were gonna have it today while we watched the race together.
Then I made the big mistake of answering the phone..... Wife got called into work.
Seems the girl she's working for.. her horse barn water froze...... Wife went in for her.
But it's okay she got Wednesday off instead.
Now she will have 5 days off for out 35th Wedding Anniversary...... She wants to take an overnight trip to the Soo.
I think that'll be cool as I've not seen the Soo Locks since I was a kid.
Plus it'll give us an extra day to Romp around like newlyweds......

Oh...I can't wait! I'll have to go to the post office to get mine. We don't have a mailbox out here....
Yeah us neither. Not many mailboxes in this part of the country.
And I hate the post office hours now.
Guess it could be worse a lot of post offices around here closed.
We would have to drive 12 miles to get our mail if the Little Lake post office closed.
