Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

It's pouring rain right now! We sure need it, but the Legbars are going to have to wait another day for their coop to be cleaned.
Speaking of Legbars, I've got 11 of their developing eggs in the incubator right now (and 7 Silverudd's Blues - although I'm not as concerned about those). Just did the 5 day fertility check, and about half of them were keepers, which is pretty good considering all the molting going on.

This one is the view from the outside entry to the coop area. There will be a door in the open space to go into the barn area from the coop if I need to. I'll be able to go in, take care of everything and not have to go back out till I'm finished. Make sense?

I'm so happy that Gig is back. Reminds me of our cross dressing furry friend, for some reason. :gig

Oh at least six trailers twenty or so trucks maybe ten or twelve cars A bunch of steel and scrap metal half a dozen or so wore out pieces of farm equipment . And the same that still works three or four skid loaders at least one school buss three or four Volkswagens . And just that's the stuff I remember Well the list is longer just to much typing .:lau Something about free just connects with me .

We are definitely related. :D

"If it's for free, it's for me!"

Have to tell you about DDs little yellow cat . I had a old piece of a trap laying by the coop . Last evening I walk by she was laying flat out on the tarp then she jumped right then left then forwards and backwards . then an mouse ran out from under the tarp and she grabbed in her mouth. Problem was she got the tarp too. She decided she wasn't about to let it go so she took the trap mouse and all and started dragging it around the yard. She has already killed two more this morning . I'm cleaning under the brooders and she waits till I run one out and grabs it . Cat won't let me pet her but is always under my feet . She also digs for moles . She digs a hole in the tunnel and goes down a ways and digs another then runs back to the first hole and waits for the mole to come through . Never saw a cat do that before . I'm going outside the sun is shining and I have to do things . :frow

That's too funny. I have something boring a hole under my building at camp, it has a huge pile built up under the building. Yesterday I stuffed a water bottle in the hole. Perfect fit. :gig

There is always Kerby

I have a 26 year old G5 Kirby. Love it! :yesss:

every Kirby I have ever met was at least 25 years old and still doing an excellent job. they are made of all metal components.... very little plastic except where necessary. And they still make them that way. Unfortunately they are pretty pricey.

Yep, the only problem i have is the plastic on/off switch. Gets stuck sometimes.
I remember its 26 years old because i was pregnant and had a guy stop by for a demo. I was so amazed, and with a baby on the way, knowing he would be crawling all over the carpet, I put it on a payment plan. IIRC, i think i paid $100 a month for almost 2 years! Lol but considering I've not had to buy another one, I think it was a good investment. Bags aren't cheap either, but I've found good sources for them on eBay.
