Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Need some help from the duck people here...
I moved all my birds to a new, larger coop yesterday. This morning I noticed Scooter [Ancona drake] was chasing Drake [another drake, obviously, lol] non-stop and not letting him near the others much. Is this normal, and will they calm down soon? Sorry, I have owned exactly four drakes total, and three of them are in the coop right now. So, no experience to go off of. Ducks and chickens are different enough that I'm hesitant to apply my thoughts and actions that I would do with cockerels pesting each other.
My Drake's will get like that..... This summer mean duck would not let my Cayoga Drake be..... Eventually Pop realized he was bigger.
Now he hounds Mean Duck......I think they all take turns being dominant Drake.
As long as they are going into a battle to the death I think they will be okay.
A few year's back I had to separate my two KC drakes for a short time but their all good now.

Thanks all. It's nothing serious, just a bit of chasing and biting, but you know how I worry about my lovelies

I deleted all my quotes from that crap that went down Friday. I figure at this point its best not to rehash it, but I did take a moment to report them both for insulting & passing judgement on a member that was completely irrelevant to the OP. It probably wont help, but I had to do something. It was mean & judgmental &

Maybe it is because I get knocked about on a regular basis... but I didn't think it was that bad. The pet people often go all crazy over those that eat animals.

Sure is a nice feeling though...all of you folks caring about me and my feelings. Careful now, I might start thinking that I am wanted. :old

He told me he still needed help with it but couldn't do much cuz he cut one of his fingers off with his table saw....... And his thumb is just hanging by a thread.
Has to get surgery.
I told him I could manage myself.....

just :he did the cut off finger get to be sewn back on? Or is it gone for good? Table saw cut shouldn't be too bad.

Chainsaw cuts though...those are bad..they chew up the flesh.

The older I get the less I like power tools... especially chainsaws. I make the boys do all wood work with saws, axes, and mauls. I know too many people who have accidentally almost died from chainsaws.

I know one chick who cut off a couple of fingers TWICE with an ax, and both times they were sewn back as sweet as ya please! Only a tiny scar too!

I just watch and grit my teeth, and try to wait it out. Usually they figure it out and everything calms down and is fine. If there is too much blood...then I eat one.

But why are they excited now? Mine usually tussle in March...or whatever high breeding season is (depends on the weather, not just the light).

I would see if you can shift stuff about in their pen maybe??? Are they really breeding now??

They seem, uh, excited all the time... they don't have a pool so not quite as much as usual, but they're still pretty R-rated. Their pen doesn't have too much to shift, just a low perch and feed/water.

I'm anticipating some chicken issues - going to put Fezik the Biele back in the bachelor pad (occupying his coop with Bielefelders is a huge waste of coop space - they just don't lay eggs). I got rid of the biggest "in charge" rooster out there, but I am concerned for his well being. He lived with the fellas for about 10 months, but has been out with the girls for a couple, so now he will be "new" again. Advice?
