She never went inside until I put them up for the night. Guess will see tomorrow. How long can they survive without being sat on?
My mother in law has an incubator I could borrow I suppose. I don't know what I'm doing though. Are you sure you are up for that?![]()

She went right back to them last night so I didn't think she was going to be bothered by it. But She hadn't been leaving the nest for very long at all until today. But today was a nice day and sunny. . I think she just wanted to bask in the sun more than anything.I've only had one broody duck hatch 2 sets of ducklings, and they were both summer time. So I'm not positive. Did she not go back to them at all? While Juice was building her nests, she would sit part of the day, and leave them alone part of the day. Each day she would stay longer and longer. I guess to get the development evened out. I think as long as they didn't get frozen cold, it's possible they could be ok.
Yes! The incubator is a great idea. We're up for it!!

She would just get off the nest to go eat and whatnot and climb back in a random box with no eggs...I candled the eggs and they were definitely gone.I've only had one broody duck hatch 2 sets of ducklings, and they were both summer time. Do you still have that pic of your house with the doors open? Hubby wants to see.
