We had the same gorgeous sunrise!!!:wee First time this year the temps stayed above freezing overnight and guess what???? We have grass!!!! Ok, so, it's not solid green yet but the chooks think they have died and gone to chickie heaven. It was so warm that we had to sleep with the window open and I took one look at the remote temp gauge for the coop around 11 pm and had to scoot out and open extra vents for them before I had barbecued chickens!:cool: It was almost 70o in there! Poor birds. They were all spread out on the roosts with their wings up looking at me like "will you put the fan back in here already???". We could get to lower 70's today. That's nice if you have time to adjust but we still have snow drifts. Would be nice if we had been allowed a day or two between the snow skiing and water skiing. (oops, forgot, the ice isn't off the lakes here yet).

Well, DH has reluctantly agreed to puppy sit and let me go do some grocery shopping. Heh, I know but I'll take any break I can get and I'm actually looking forward to a visit (SHORT) to civilization.

There's still a lot of snow in places.... The rivers are all high and cold..... To high and cold for steelhead..... Although we did see a few today. I hooked into one..... Just north of Marquette there's a little river called the Little Garlic. There snow back there was still waist deep. Hoping by Friday that river will be fishable......
