Thought about that, but used it in the garden one year and it disintegrated. We have a roll of it, though. It might work if we double up on it.How about that weed blocker fabric?

Moss might work if I add more slatsIf the slats have only a small space between them you can use coconut fiber.... accross the whole bottm. or Spagnum moss... couple of bags of spagnum goes along way at about an inch thick... Same stuff they use for lining hanging baskets.

I've had better luck with that fabric stuff in planters than I have on the ground. Weeds just somehow push their way through the stuff I got! But. . I have used some in my old Pepsi box as a planter and it's held up for a year so far.Thought about that, but used it in the garden one year and it disintegrated. We have a roll of it, though. This is 1 of 2 planter boxes I've just built for DW's greenhouse. I need something flexible & porous to lay over the slats on the bottom & up the sides that will keep the soil where it belongs, yet allow it to drain. Thinking along the lines of plastic sheeting, 'cause it won't rot, but I'm coming up empty.
Ideas?
