Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Where's Phil? :pop He's gonna wanna see that fish you reeled in. :thumbsup

I stayed up late last night reading about ducks & bird seed. :he I'm almost glad Rav wasn't here to suffer thru that. You guys did great btw :clapI would've been stabbing stuff into my eye.
OMG I was up reading that last night too! :rant
And ya. . that was a candy cane worthy thread alright. I managed to leave without commenting but it took a lot of strength.
Oh that thread. Yeah that was fun.
Fun like a paper cut to the eyeball.

Sorry Lazy, looks like Bored beat me to it. Its near Monterey. Its a steep drive, but less time in a box for them & no minimum purchase for me.

I was thinking about you tonight Orr. We had trouble getting Iris into bed. Nobody liked him today. They wouldn't let him eat & wouldn't let him roost on his little ladder. I'm ready to stick a boot in the rear of all those girls. I found him just before bed starving & hiding in a plant. I fed him (he ate like he hadn't eaten all day) then I put him to bed. The girls usually leave him alone, but tonight they kept chasing him out of the coop. :hit I tucked him into the nesting box that he hatched in & stayed with him till he fell asleep. I remembered your baby chick lullabies & almost sang him a song that I used to sing to Mako when she was little, but then I thought of you saying he would adjust in a couple days so I didn't. I'm also hearing echoes of other past threads saying not to coddle roosters, but geeze, he's just a lost & lonely baby. I very much appreciate you guys being here for me to cry to & spout my crazy nonsense to. :hugs
So sorry for Iris' rough night. I think you can baby them a bit... Nod, my fabulous AC, was definitely babied (tucked in, lullabies, and all) for a while. How old is he?

If you go to Metzer, keep me posted. It's only about 4 hrs from here... :)

So sweet! :love

Primus makes one of those; a deer call. WV's liable to have one; I do. Never had a deer respond to it, but I have one, just the same. They're like a lot of fishing lures; designed to catch more fishermen than fish.
Deer calls primary use is to stop a deer if it's walking away. Some people call with them.... But it's more an effects thing...... Just a couple of bleats every once in a while...

I took a few pics, but my phone is still copying. :lau
Its over halfway done though. What's your little chocolatey one looking like now?
Is your chick hatch finished?
Yeah I really need to go in and delete a bunch of photos... From my phone and the cloud I had to buy more cloud storage for photos I never even look at

My yard is filled with Mexicans. Over the 54 years that we have lived here, nature has been reclaiming my yard, and the front and West hedgerows are creeping inwards - like about 30'. The SIL of a family friend runs a landscaping business and gave us a really good quote on clearing up this mess. They arrived at 8 AM and other than a short lunch break have worked their butts off since then. Gonna be able to see our house from the road. Hope that's a good thing. May not be able to pee in the front yard anymore.
That, sir, is what's known as Pee Poor Prior Planning

Sorry you're broken. :( IF you can take Advil, you can switch up the Advil & Tylenol so you can take something every 4hrs instead of 6. I hear those 12hr Alieves can help too. Hope you feel better soon! :hugs

She is SOOOOOO pretty!!! :love
Not broken, but severely bent! Actually, I'm much better now. I don't know anything about Advil, so I took a couple 8-hour Tylenols. I just went up and down the stairs normally, instead of one-step-at-a-time-with-a-walking-stick like this morning.
