I tried talking rationally and calmly with him...

"Why go faster, if you can't stop?"

He TOTALLY didn't see where I was coming from.

Have you tried, “You’re not getting on the thing until it has brakes.”? The firmest I had to be was when one of my “extra sons” wanted to blow up a TV with a sparkler bomb. I told him it wasn’t going to happen. Period. I didn’t want to have to explain to his mother why he wasn’t going home in the same condition he was in when he came to our house.

27 degrees here. I don't even wanna go out.

It was 7 when I left for work this morning.

29 here. I’m staying home to nurse my cold/flu, and be pathetic.

Kid 3 though.... I can see him boozing a bit once he gets "off leash". He has great sense.... but because of the no fear- immortality thing... who knows what he will do.

We shall have to wait and see... I think the brain starts to be sensible around 35 to 45.

Gee a little bit of let down/depression after everything has been going so smooth for you the past several months ? Gee, that's a surprise. You can only be strong for so long. We get it here on the Pond. Are you able to run yet ? If so, that should help. When I get down I HAVE to get outside in the real world.

Yeah, my brain is definitely better when I can get out. I can run - it's not pretty- but bit by bit I'm getting back some strength. When I finally can get the fear of falling out of the forefront of my mind, I'll probably make more progress. it all just takes time.

'Twas a good day, but the combination of rain and this stinky depression I've been dealing with continues to make even the good days kind of meh.
Choirs are doing well - concert next week
Sophomores are nice kids - liking them a lot
Univ. Class has only 5 more class sessions before finals
Piano recital is this coming Monday
See, it's all good. Really. It is.

You know that your favorite Witch Doctor always recommends extra ice cream.
(Of course what Sour said was good too, but whatever.)

The tradition of me making my mom a gingerbread house every Christmas continues! She loves them, so I try to get them made up right after Thanksgiving for her because she likes to have them as long as possible.

Not much goin on here today.. no news is good news I suppose..

I get serious vertigo spells.....t they are short lived. And I have gotten then since my transplant. They think it's inner ear damage from chemo..... But they really don't know.

Kid was saying it slows down when you let off the throttle.... so why have brakes??

Tell him slowing down and stopping are different..... Stopping is what happens when you hit the tree trying to slow down..... And you all don't live above the tree line......

And brakes are cheap..... Look them up on eBay.....I can still get about any part I need.

I'm getting ready to go sit in my blind..... Wife needs to get up as the dogs have early grooming appointments.... And it's a 45 minute drive.
I guess we are heading to Traverse City Friday till Monday.....I just found out yesterday.
Gonna have to have Kacy (my daughter) feed my deer...... If there's nothing on the camera worth shooting. I'm gonna call it and start Ice fishing..... Yay!!!!!
