Sad morning,
The passing of a great president and a truly decent man. Tho I find it difficult to mourn because he lived such a long, full and honorable life and now he can join his beloved Barbara.

I noticed something strange that I can’t figure out. I was adding feed to the “baby coop” where I have a quad of silkied seramas. It looks like something fell up against the screen on the front side and broke part of the wood. It was bowed inward, so it happened from outside, most likely. The dogs can’t get to it, and I don’t think any other birds have been out, unless it happened more than a couple days ago, so I’m not sure what could have done it?
It’s flimsy, but still would have taken some force to bust it like this.

40 yd. right out in front of the blind, just before dark. Dead in rut; neck like a Hereford bull & scent glands full. Rack's not quite as nice as the one on the wall, but it's real close, & has two more points. I'm by no means a trophy hunter, and antler soup doesn't appeal to me, but if a nice rack comes with the package I'm certainly not turning it down. We'll skin it & cut it up tomorrow. Nicest buck I've seen aroud here since I got the one I had mounted back in '81. Can't afford a shoulder mount at today's prices, so DS is going to do a european skull mount for me, for the wall of the blind.

I'm only antler hunting at this point..... When I get home if nothing is good on the cameras in done. Time to ice fish..... There is an ice fishing expo going on today here in Traverse City I'm gonna try to get to it.... But wife is sick.
And kids are gone..... Waiting for my son to get back ... Hoping he wants to go to ice fishing expo with me.
They haven't got any Ice here.
We have over 6 inches up north.

No it's the same... But all it was was a long pole line.... Single wire...... No difference them a telephone out electric wire...... Environmentalist seem to want to oppose everything....I hunted it for 30 years
