Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I should actually change what I said....I was always frugal when kids were at home.
Last time I had a car payment was in 1985..... When I paid off my 1979 Dodge Power Wagon.
I own a house where a double payment is around $400 a month.....
The current truck I own is the most expensive truck I've owned in years.... And it was $2000.
I never got a contractor to do anything.... Although I might hire someone to install my internet antenna higher and better... But only cuz I'm super afraid of heights.....
It's just that I'm not afraid to spend money on some things....I like nice things.... Sometimes expensive things.... As I get older and have no kids...I like to buy more name brand stuff....
But yeah I live cheaply so I can spend money on other things I suppose.
I spend most of my spare money on tools....
I must admit, I like nice things to. I tend to look after the things I get and get years of pleasure from them.
I know where you're coming from on the tools front. I dread to think what I've spent on tools over the years. I really regret not bringing more of them over here. Something I used to keep on the back of my truck I could use almost daily here and that's my Hi Lift Jack.
I sold it before I came here.:he

I'll try the peas and carrots. They're really fussy. They'll eat some tomato but the seeds and stuff the chickens like the Muscovys wont touch.

@Alaskan. What do you give your Muscovy ducks to eat? What treats if any do they like?

For treats left over chicken wings, dog food, worms, slugs, dead quail chicks, little bait fish. They are more protein oriented than the chickens. But they also like barley and sunflower seeds.

For feed we use duck feed or all flock.

I might try a bit of dog food. They get the bugs themselves. They love a stag beetle but it looks pretty rough when they catch one. I've tried small sardines and they turned their beaks up at it.:idunno

I hope the vet can figure it out or someone else here has something to suggest.
My only suggestion is to weigh her if you can, and keep monitor on it. Hens have such a way of hiding everything. They can be so close to death before we realize any problem, but if she is eating well, at least that’s a good sign.
I haven't been weighing her, but I'll get her on the scales in the morning. All the chickens here are underweight by US standards it seems; not by large amounts but less.
She's eating more than usual at the moment because I feed her with the others which encourages her to eat and again when the others aren't there. Given she's the youngest and lowest in the hierarchy she gets to eat last in the normal course of events.
