Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Happy chickens! They found some bare ground to scratch and dig in.

Speaking of hatching think I'm gonna have A.C. chicks in a few days.... I've had a hen sitting for a while not sure how many eggs she's on.
But probably only a few.
:fl:pop
My son about Chit when he pulled down our road...... He couldn't believe how much snow we as still have.
Still can't see my picnic table behind the house..... before it started melting I could walk roof to roof on my out buildings.

The GOOD NEWS...... The roof on the Meth house caved in........:lau
:woot Hopefully you'll be rid of that bunch! :fl

Good Morning, Pond!

Late start today - didn’t sleep well last night.

Another beautiful day today. Good thing, because some of my chickens are going to finally lose their heads. I have 3 too many cockerels from last year’s batch of chicks, and the 6 I got from
my mom last November - they are roughly 6 years old. We’re going to take legs and breast meat only, then save the rest of tha carcass for bone broth/stock (depends on how well I strain it). The meat will be pressure canned. I am looking forward to having canned chicken in the pantry again.

i wanted to extra thank you guys for your encouragement and good vibes for that boy. The week went well, did wanna jinx it before it was over. There were of course a few small hang ups but i really appreciate the faith you have in me! I got all my coops cleaned, the yard raked, a pile of brush gathered and burned, the waterers scrubbed (i think id mentioned before,) my truck washed inside and out (i waxed it not him) and the dogs bathed. Hes learned alot about household chores lol and its eased my workload for just a few annoyances. He does have professional help, i am just the end of a line of people who have stepped up to help him heal.

I'm glad he's getting professional help, and especially glad that he has you in his army. Of course there will be hang ups - he's going to test you now and then to make sure that you really mean it when you say something. And of course you will let him know that yes - you did mean it. And he will feel all the better knowing that. (Not that he'd ever admit it.) I have always believed that kids feel safer when they know their boundaries, so they will test them just to be sure they're still safe. You're doing a great job, Turk!
