Finally a wild duck sat on the platform that we made!

No nesting...... but nice that he thought it was a good perch.View attachment 1797378

It was a good end to my day.... just saw him as I pulled on to park..... just got home from the town 2 hours away... I had to drive up there because I thought that my retina was detaching.

Turns out it wasn't. .. it is
1. I am old and my eye jelly is getting smaller, so pulling away a bit at the edges and so caused a huge floater... it does mean more stress is being put on my retina for the next 6 weeks... so I have to pay close attention in case it does detach.

2. I am stressed and so my body made a tiny bubble of liquid under the retina... that is messing with my vision... but is NOT permanent... and will go away as soon as I destress.

A beautiful picture & a kind of disturbing story. I hope you can unwind a bit for the sake of that eye.

Mom's been with us for a couple weeks now. She heads back to my brother's house Monday. She's sad and asked if she could stay here... I'm thinking we can work out a compromise at some point, but her memory is so bad we keep having the same conversation... and she's still sad.

I know exactly what you're saying and I did tell E that if she cries when I take her up there, she's probably just going to be coming back w me.
It's not that brother is bad or anything; she's just bored and lonely there. Here, it's the "I get that you're like a kid now and need kid-like stuff to do" activities that she loves. She just helped me pit 6 lbs. of cherries. Feeling needed is kinda important.

diverticuli are the little pouches that form on your colon .... years of use and strain... They usually dont give people problems dont even know they have them.... but they can get irritated or infected for what ever reason... It depends.... Each cause has a different name. Thats when they say no seeds or popcor dont want anything to irritate the little pouches.

Other than that there is usually no issue... though some docs are pretty rigid. The

Almost EVERYONE who is over the age of fifty has them.

So guys I'm sorry I haven't been on more but summer gets busy here.
I think I told you all I went fishing last week....
We caught four Coho Salmon and my buddy lost a big King salmon.
Glenns line took off drag was screaming.... The king pulled his planner board under for about five minutes.... It peeled a bunch line off three times before it finally broke his #20 test leader. There was I Nick in the line when he pulled out in. Kinda a bummer but fun while it lasted....I love fishing Lake Superior.

When we were leaving I noticed these gotta were building this big ole boat in their back yard.
When it's finished it'll be the largest glass bottom boat in the world.
