Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Just wow!!!!! The potential is incredible! I so envy you! You basically have a blank canvas to create your own personal piece of heaven. :love
Exactly! That's what we thought.
There are two rooms and two bathrooms besides the huge cafeteria area that will be our living space. We will wall off the shop from the back part where the rooms are, leaving one bathroom for the shop.
The room where the coal furnace was will be our laundry/storage/mud room. It has a door to the outside. . that will be cool!
Possibilities are endless.

I can't wait to see the transformation! (Maybe I'm being presumptuous, thinking you'll share your progress with us.)

@shawluvsbirds - Shaw! How are you? All adjusted to the summer schedule? I am so looking forward to not settling an alarm on Monday. I wonder how people who work year around do it????
Don't you still have to get up at the crack of dawn to do the animals?
I could do with a couple of those I won't bother setting the alarm days.:(

We are either brilliant. . or insane. I'm not sure which yet.
But I want out town.
It sits on 5 acres. . not too far out about a 15 minute drive from town.
It will be one hell of a project. . but. . it's right up our alley. I am hoping to have it livable, and put our place for sale in about a year. Once the house sells we should be able to pay it off and not have a mortgage. Then we can put that money towards the cosmetics. :)
I would go for insane.;)
Are you sure I can't talk you into knocking the whole thing down, salvaging what you can and building a small earth beamed environmentally friendly dwelling.:D

You guys had me laughing out loud with your conversation about my "antiquing" adventure! Shows just how dangerous it can be to give that many intelligent creative minds one simple image.
Anyone ever tell poor Shad what antiquing is about?
No they haven't and even worse, I've been reading a lot about 'floaters' which in my circles means something rather different.:hmm

Morning (6 a.m. in my part of the world) :caf
Antiquing in "americaneze" means to go rummaging thru out of the way antique/junk shops and flea markets (believe you call them boot sales?) looking for old treasures hidden amongst the trash.
As for the floaters, depending upon the context, it can have many meanings on this side of the pond.
