Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Meet the newest addition to The Broom. We named her Fabia Darling. She's a 4yr old guinea pig that we adopted from the Humane Society. We're still completely freaking her out, but she's super sweet & I know she'll warm up quickly.

I love Piggies.... Love their squeeks and hums when they are talking to girlfriends.... Love the way they can swap ends at a moments notice.... Love the way when they are born their ears are huge and eyes too... they have as big a squeek as momma...
And can run right away as well as nibble on hay.

And if there are more than two born they wait in line to nurse... Cause momma has only two spigots.

Wild child was the first born here.... OMG the cowlicks on him .... Jet black too and very active...

In the 70's someone dumped a guinea pig on me. She just said feed it lettuce. It shrieked to high heaven. It was in a small box, had no proper cage. Every time I went to feed it, it bit me.

This was long before I had a computer and could have googled all my questions. Luckily my sister's neighbor took Zenobia. She was used to guinea pigs.

My boss thought it was a chinchilla - no way would you get one of those for free.

MORNING PONDERS!!! We're still here! :frow
I watched the radar last night as the storm line split in two like Moses parting the Red Sea and we never even got a drop of rain!!!! Not so fortunate for others, sadly but I haven't heard yet of any major damage and because of the split, I think, the winds weren't nearly as strong as predicted. Bad news is DH is outside dragging out the hoses because now we have to water! :th

Good morning, Pond Perps.

Mine is slowly finding its way home. By the time it returns fully I will have forgotten how to use it.
Just in case your mind needs a little help finding it's way home :lau

No joke. This thing was recently installed in Seattle at a roundabout to help "alleviate" confusion. Yep, bet that works.

Today I had someone drive over an hour to pick up khaki Campbell hatching eggs. :th :yesss:
Congrats! :highfive:
I just need to get this out of my system:
:barnie:barnie:barnie

OK, I'm better now. Ever have one of those days where you just don't feel like you can handle *one more thing*, and then one more thing comes along? Yep, that's where I was today. (Inhale through the nose, exhale through the mouth. And again...)
Hope things are better for for you today Bobbi! :hugs
