Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

My dad said he was very careful.... because his dad took him on a tour of the charity hospital STD wing. No joke.

I had no such great visual aids. I did keep telling the kids the story of the uncle (a couple generations back) that..... uh.... NO WAY to PG that story down. Hummm.

There was a hole/tube , that had been restricted by some growths.... when they tried to reopen the hole/tube they "oopsed" and he bleed to death.

But my dad didn't take me on a nasty hospital tour.... maybe he should have. :old

Good morning!
Wild week.
Power out 2 days - school says, "We're staying open, DO NOT CALL IN SICK!"
Taught kids in the dark w lanterns and flashlights. Thankfully water/plumbing worked.
Made the best of it. Here's day 2...

Yes, that's a giant blanket fort. We read about a hundred picture books and called it an "adventure". (Don't let the light in the pic fool you - it was like teaching in a cave.)

Ugh!:th I've been wondering about you & checking the outage maps. I assumed you still had power, but forgot about the school.

Hows it going with the orphans & the mad raccoon hunt? :fl

This is brilliant!!! :clap

I'm starting to think it skips a generation. You & I are gonna have wildling grandchildren.

Well, I spoke too soon. Been snowing here all afternoon. Not so bad tho, for the first one of the season. The wind died down when the snow started so it's just been one of those fluffy floaty snowglobe kind of snows. The house is filled with the smell of the roast in the oven and making it feel all warm and cozy. DH and the pupper are curled up on the bed watching football. One of those Currier and Ives kind of days I treasure so much.
