Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Turns out I did NOT pull out a filling... I cracked my tooth.

I need a crown.

I did the same thing with jelly beans a couple of months ago. :he - and I never eat candy. SMH I really don't mind the dentist - my dentist - he is great at pain control, and has an appropriately weird personality and sense of humor. Even with the 'senior discount' the price of his work :th

I had to round up emus today. Well, actually, my neighbor did - in the wind storm last night a tree came down on the fence and took a section down, and all three were out. The neighbors saw them and herded them into their duck pen, then called me. So I fixed the fence and went and retrieved them. Luckily they will usually follow me, so I had my neighbor walk behind, just in case, and led the mob back across the road and into their fixed up pen.

I'm going to add more fence posts for extra support, so hopefully if such a thing happens again, the fence can take it.

Oh, and my brother got a Great Dane puppy. One day and he's already been on the phone with me twice about stuff and now he wants to pay me to have training sessions with him once a week, lol. I just wanna play with the puppy, so I'm not saying no to that.

we roll our clocks back tomorrow night!!! :he:barnie
I really really really hate rolling our clocks back!
It's already dark by 5:30 now it will be dark by 4:30 :thand sooner until until almost Christmas. I don't care if I can my coffee cup in the morning, that's why I have electricity. My chooks don't care, it's still too cold to go out. They are happy to stay in their snug warm coop til it warms up. Problem with that is with the clock move it will be dark by the time that happens. We are supposed to have highs in the mid 20's F by mid week which means nights will be near zero (or possibly worse if skies clear) and it potentially won't warm into those 20's until mid afternoon because this time of year there is no such thing as "high noon". Can you tell I am not really thrilled about this time of year til Christmas?

The thick ice chunks I kicked out of the rainbarrel yesterday are still laying where they bounced to after hitting the frozen ground and even the chooks water pan in the greenhouse never thawed.

:sick sorry Chicki! I hope its not as bad as last winter. Im not excited about this time of year either but im glad the two months of 110* days are behind us it was an oppressive summer down here

The gas makes me throw up. The only thing more fun than getting a crown is puking through it.

:th

Well, they could NOT numb the front of the tooth... decided that maybe it is infected...maybe I need a root canal...

So... he did a temporary crown, I have scripts for pain meds and antibiotics...
