Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I hear you and understand. Kind of the way it is up here for lots of us. Same here. I "know" some folks and and know a few better but none that I would actually classify as friend. The few we had have either passed away or retired to warmer climes. Guess it's just the nature of the lifestyle we've chosen. Folks are always willing to help when help is really needed otherwise we'll keep to our own. We also tend to be far better at giving help than receiving it.

My mother was a very stoic German lady. One day in a moment of melancholy she said to me, "People think that the worst part of getting old is becoming infirm and having to depend upon others. That sucks, but it's not the worst part. The worst part is that many of the people you care for are no longer here." I didn't truly get it at that time, but now I fully understand. :(

I hurt with every cell in my body right now.... i don't want to go on. But please understand i want it to stop
Phil, my friend, I really don't have any words beyond what all the others have already said so well.

I've been pretty much offline since Saturday; son came in & we've been hunting hard ever since. This morning was the first I knew about any of this.

Hang in there, Phil. You're strong; you'll work your way through this with faith & the knowlege that He has your back & won't give you more than you can handle.

Our thoughts and prayers are certainly with you.
God bless & keep you.

I made the most delicious venison soup over the weekend! Hubby got a nice 8-point. Our first time paying to have the meat processed instead of us doing it.
