Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I am also waiting for a new walker to come from amazon. one designed to have you walking up right. Ideal for a fitness program I want to start.

Here is what they look like

Ohhhh, have to check that out (for future reference) looks a lot like my "violet" the pretty walker I bought when I messed up my leg. (she's still safely stored away "just in case") tho I'm so short that Violet lets me stay pretty much upright. I like the armrests etc. on this one. Looks pretty comfortable.

Oh and the scales at the hospital put me at 128.5 pounds down.... :wee
Wow great job!!! you may not need a walker at all soon :fl

Today on my way to church. :plbbView attachment 2046606
yep. still lookin' pretty much that way here too tho the recent warm spell has shrunk the snowbanks some and the chooks can even find a bit of grass where we've kept the paths shoveled.
Ha!

I would love to .... but shocker.... I think I have developed an allergy to wine...

:idunno it makes me congested.

I had some vodka for my birthday, and that was OK... but rum also tends to make me congested....ODDEST thing!

I used to drink booze.... but now...eh...

And it isn't a quantity issue... it is just plain odd.

I really need to take notes... because I tend to forget, and it takes an hour for the congestion to kick in....
Hadn't been able to drink alcohol in over a decade because of the chemo drugs and now that I am TFR, I'm not interested (never big on drinking anyway and it was a really good excuse to get out of "being social"). The only stuff I actually wanted to drink was a well made Irish coffee (yum) but I'm allergic! I immediately turn bright red. And I'm Irish!!!! My granny used to find it hilarious! (lots of jokes about dna testing etc.).

Morning Pondites!
Sorry for the losses, happy for all the good news. Still have a lots of snow because even tho the daytimes have been unusually warm (for us) it's still crispy at night. Down to 15o F last night thanks to the super moon.

Been tied up doing the online training for the next round of census work. What a snooze!!! Had to sit thru over an hour of more info about Title 13 and then more zzzzzzzzzzz on Title 5 than I would ever care to know. The other 15 hours was mostly just a review for me making the tests simple to pass. Even have the same census issue laptop/software. Only snag was anyone that worked last fall (like me) couldn't get logged into the training because (I assume) we were never terminated out of our old account. They finally got me on late Saturday night so I had two days of catchup to do. Supposed to get on to do the full day of classwork training last Thursday which was a "no" and of course I was the only one that had worked last summer so I just sat there getting paid for being bored except when I was able to help the "newbies" because it was all review for me.
Couldn't figure out why there was even an Update/leave operation this time anyway since the census was supposed to be mailed/done online this time but, at least here, you're getting the census delivered to you then you either complete it and mail it in or get online to do it. Gee, I wonder how many check backs on the ones people throw away this time I'll get paid to do this summer tho this one is literally not much more than a nose count.

Oh!!! (shhhh, don't tell the DH) the new Tractor Supply gets in chicks next Monday from the same place I ordered chicks from 3 yrs ago so if they have the right breeds I won't have to risk the mail order and I can get them months earlier!
finally lost my little sweet Aussie that was passing the lash eggs a few weeks ago and I have BO that I will probably lose soon as well. She never reddened back up after the molt and altho otherwise seems fine, her comb and wattles have been shrinking and now have turned deep purple so I'm guessing heart failure. I was never sure she ever actually laid an egg after her first cycle (she's turning 3 soon).
Anyway, I am now down to one very large and healthy 6 yr old Aussie and 6 (soon to be 5) 3 yr old hens so I have LOTS of room for new chickies! :wee
