Just got a phone call from neighbor 'Rich' that neighbor 'John' is in the hospital and not expected to survive. John is in his 80's and has severe Parkinson's, but has been doing okay. Everyone keeps an eye on him and helps out as we can. Apparently he is bleeding internally, they don't know why, and doubt that he will survive. Word is that it is not Coronavirus, but ------------------ He's a nice man and good neighbor. We'll be keeping an eye on his place as his driveway is visible from my front porch. Sad.
Dang...

Always hard.

:hugs

That looks great!!

I am interested to see your busted tile work... should be fun.

I even like the parrot. But I take he will go? Because aren't you swapping put that door?
he wont be a door any more but a framed in picture. I have a couple of ideas for that. Because you cant cut safety glass.

The original builder did all sorts of little things. Mostly tile work but he painted the parrot and he painted the window above the Sliding glass door in the Studio, to match the curtains.

Window sills in many of the rooms have Cobalt blue Tiles set in them.

Trying to keep his art. He passed away in Mexico about ten years after he moved there. His wife is gone too.

So true! Lots of tiny pieces!!!

Will that wall with the door and parrot then be solid counter, with the window above counter? Or at counter?

That is the kitchen, right?

Kitchen is correct. Window there looks out on my bedroom/art studio. I am having the refrigerator placed in that spot. shoved out into my bedroom about a foot. Remember the walls in my house are one foot thick. So that will place the refrigerator about fourteen inches into the kitchen. Wire rack with Countertops will be on either side of that refrigerator.

This will give me places to put Microwave Coffee pot Toaster oven etc. I dont have alot of small electrical devices but what I do have I want to keep out. Those three will probably get the most use. I am hoping to put the freezer in the pantry but its much smaller than the refrigerator so it can go along that wall. I have a dedicated circuit for the refrigerator but not the freezer. Both will get brown out protectors plugged in between. They are designed to shut the power off when it gets too low. Then come back on when it is at a safe level.

Thank goodness the models I bought Sip power.

After that window is closed off there is still a window on the opposite wall.

The house is full of light from the outside the only benefit of those sliding glass doors. I may just put in french doors on the Parrot side.

The pantry is going to be built in that alcove next to the kitchen which will block half of the sliding glass door that is used as the entry door right now. I am hoping to replace that entry slider with a Plain window with some vents that I can open on good days. same goes for the other sliding glass door on the other side of the pot belly stove. Replace it with an entry door and a window.

I love light and air. so need to resolve this when the time comes.
